Two Drivers Charged in Fatal McKinney Street Racing Incident

Two drivers have been charged following a street racing crash that resulted in the deaths of a McKinney couple. James Armont, 51, faces two counts of second-degree manslaughter, while 22-year-old Braydon Moss is charged with two counts of racing on a highway resulting in injury or death, according to the McKinney Police Department.

The incident occurred on July 17 when William "Bill" Lavich Lazarus and Sandra "Sandi" Lee Lazarus, both 77, were killed after their silver Hyundai was struck at the intersection of Custer Road and Bedford Lane. They were pronounced dead at the scene.

Armont, who was driving a BMW, and his passengers sustained non-life-threatening injuries and were taken to a hospital. He was arrested on July 21 and is currently held in the Collin County Jail on a $75,000 bond for each manslaughter charge. Moss, driving a black Tesla, surrendered to authorities after arrest warrants were issued.
