Man Found Unresponsive After Family Dispute in Phoenix Dies

A 36-year-old man died after being found restrained during a family altercation in southeast Phoenix on July 28, 2026. Phoenix police responded to a call about a physical fight at a home around 4 a.m. Officers discovered Bill Blancas being restrained by another man and a woman when they arrived at the scene. Upon noticing that Blancas was unresponsive, they summoned the Phoenix Fire Department, which transported him to a nearby hospital where he later died.

The investigation has been taken over by detectives from the homicide unit, and the medical examiner will determine the cause of death. Phoenix police indicated that a critical incident briefing regarding the case will be released within 14 days.
