A man was arrested in central Phoenix early Friday following a fatal stabbing incident. Police identified the victim as Christian Yepiz Fonseca, 40, who was attacked by Donald Coleman, 59, during a fight involving multiple individuals near 27th Avenue and Indian School Road around 4:30 a.m.

According to police, Fonseca was stabbed multiple times and later succumbed to his injuries at a hospital. Officers located Coleman at a nearby motel and took him into custody. He was not charged with the stabbing but was wanted on an out-of-state homicide warrant.

Authorities confirmed that they are not seeking any additional suspects in connection with the stabbing. During the same timeframe, a two-car crash occurred a block away from the stabbing scene, but police stated that there is no connection between the two incidents. Indian School Road was closed for several hours due to the crash but has since reopened.
