A section of Sunset Boulevard in West Hollywood remains closed as repairs are underway following a significant water main break last Thursday. The Los Angeles Department of Water and Power (LADWP) has not provided a timeline for when the repairs to the 110-year-old pipe will be completed. Officials stated that crews are working diligently to finish the repairs as quickly and safely as possible.

Residents in West Hollywood are still dealing with the aftermath of the flooding caused by the rupture, with some displaced from their apartments due to flooded underground garages. Several businesses, including the popular bookstore Book Soup, have also been forced to close. Meanwhile, two other water pipe ruptures in Venice and Hollywood were repaired on Saturday. A new break was reported on Sunday morning at 1501 Lincoln Blvd., which crews are currently addressing. Although tap water in West Hollywood is safe to drink, residents are advised to conserve water as the area is currently served by a smaller distribution pipe, leading to lower water pressure.
