Ukrainian Drone Strikes on Russian Warehouses Result in Nine Deaths and Over 80 Injuries

Ukrainian drones targeted two warehouses belonging to the online retailer Wildberries, resulting in nine fatalities and more than 80 injuries, according to Russian officials. The attacks occurred overnight and on Saturday afternoon, with one warehouse located in Kotovsk, Tambov region, approximately 360 kilometers from the Ukrainian border, and the other in Elektrostal, about 50 kilometers east of Moscow.

In Kotovsk, seven night shift workers were killed and 25 others were injured, as reported by Tambov regional Governor Yevgeny Pervyshov. In the Moscow region, 61 individuals were wounded, with one person succumbing to their injuries. An oil depot in Noginsk, north of Elektrostal, was also struck, causing a fire that led to evacuations of nearby buildings. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy confirmed the strikes targeted significant logistical facilities used by Russia for military supplies. The Russian Defense Ministry stated that its air defenses intercepted 379 drones across multiple regions.
