Andrew and Tristan Tate Arrested in Miami Amid Extradition Request from UK
Brothers Andrew and Tristan Tate were arrested by the U.S. Marshals Service in Miami on Saturday as British authorities sought their extradition on charges of rape and sex trafficking. The arrest follows a sealed warrant and places the brothers at the center of an international legal case that began in Romania.
British prosecutors announced they are pursuing extradition for allegations that the Tates raped and trafficked women between 2010 and 2017. The brothers, who are dual U.S. and British citizens, had previously been arrested in Romania in 2022 on similar charges but denied the allegations. They are expected to appear in federal court in Miami early next week. Their attorney, Joseph McBride, criticized the new charges as “filth and slander” and expressed confidence that the brothers would be exonerated.
