Paul Pelosi, 86, was charged with misdemeanor hit-and-run and making an unlawful turn following a crash on July 3 in Yountville, California. Authorities allege that Pelosi crashed his Maserati GranCabrio into an unoccupied parked vehicle on Yount Street and left the scene without providing required information. A witness reported that Pelosi briefly stopped before driving away, leaving the parked car with significant damage.

This incident follows a previous DUI conviction in 2022, where Pelosi was sentenced to five days in jail and three years of probation. Napa County District Attorney Allison Haley stated that there was no evidence to support a DUI charge in this case. Pelosi is scheduled to appear in court on August 13, and the district attorney's office may request the DMV to reassess his driving privileges.
