Five Arrested in Concord Jewelry Store Smash-and-Grab
Five suspects were arrested following a smash-and-grab robbery at the Banter jewelry kiosk in Concord's Sun Valley Mall on Sunday, June 25, 2026, at approximately 1:24 p.m. The Concord Police Department reported that multiple 911 calls alerted them to the incident, during which at least four individuals smashed display cases and a patron was pepper-sprayed.
The suspects fled the scene before officers arrived. However, police coordinated with the San Francisco Police Department to identify the suspects, who are residents of San Francisco and Daly City. They were located in Richmond and identified as Cameron Haynes, 21; Terry Franklin, 29; Lavar Kent, 18; Eric Howard, 18; and Teric Howard, 20.
All five suspects were arrested on charges related to the robbery, along with additional offenses. Police recovered stolen jewelry from the kiosk and multiple firearms during the arrests. This incident follows at least three other recent robberies at Sun Valley Mall, including one just days prior, where two masked suspects stole necklaces from a victim.
