Train-vehicle Collision Closes SH 130 Exit Ramp and Railroad Crossings in Hutto
A train-vehicle collision occurred on Friday morning, resulting in the closure of an exit ramp on SH 130 in Hutto, Texas. The incident took place around 8:47 a.m. at the intersection of US 79 eastbound and the SH 130 toll road exit ramp.
According to officials, the occupant of the vehicle involved in the crash sustained only minor injuries and was transported to a hospital for further evaluation as a precaution. The train involved in the incident has not been moved due to mechanical issues stemming from the collision.
Hutto Fire Rescue reported that the railroad crossings at Star Ranch Boulevard and Park Central Drive remain closed while crews await assistance. A locomotive from Taylor is en route to help move the train. Fire Rescue estimates that the crossings will remain closed for at least another hour.
