Phoenix Implements Fireworks Restrictions Ahead of Fourth of July
The City of Phoenix will enforce Stage 1 Fire Restrictions starting June 20 due to heightened fire danger, as announced by the fire department. These restrictions will prohibit the use of consumer fireworks within one mile of regional parks and mountain preserves.
Under the new ordinance, fireworks are banned on all city-owned property, and local police have been granted enhanced authority to seize any fireworks found in violation of these rules. Violators may face civil fines of up to $2,500.
The Stage 1 restrictions can be escalated by the city if necessary, and officials have provided maps indicating the areas affected by these regulations. This marks the strictest fireworks ordinance implemented in Phoenix in the last decade, coinciding with the upcoming Fourth of July celebrations.
