Stein Your Florist Co. to Close Northeast Philadelphia Store, Consolidate in Burlington
PHILADELPHIA — Stein Your Florist Co. announced Tuesday that it will close its long-running Northeast Philadelphia storefront and consolidate all of its business operations at its location in Burlington, New Jersey. The family-owned florist, which has been in business since 1887, will officially shut its doors at the Philadelphia location on June 30, 2026.
The closing storefront is located at the corner of Frankford and Princeton avenues in Philadelphia's Mayfair-Tacony neighborhood, where the company has operated since the 1950s. According to a company press release, the business will merge its operations into Steins at Sunset Florist in Burlington.
Despite the physical store closure in Pennsylvania, the Stein family stated that they will continue to serve customers in Philadelphia, South Jersey, and the surrounding suburban areas from the Burlington facility. The family described the move as a consolidation rather than an end to their local service.
"Our Philadelphia location has been an important part of our family's history and our company's story for generations," the Stein family said in the release. "This is not the end of our service to Philadelphia — it is the beginning of a new chapter."
