Phoenix Police Investigating After Man Found Unresponsive in Swimming Pool Near Indian School Road

PHOENIX — A man has died after being pulled from a backyard swimming pool in Phoenix on Monday morning, according to emergency officials. The Phoenix Fire Department responded to reports of a possible drowning at approximately 10 a.m. on June 15 near the intersection of 15th Avenue and Indian School Road.

Upon arriving at the scene, first responders located the man inside the swimming pool. Firefighters reported that the man was not breathing and did not have a pulse. Despite emergency response efforts, the fire department stated that the individual was "beyond resuscitative efforts" and could not be revived.

The Phoenix Police Department has since taken over the scene to conduct an investigation into the incident. Authorities have not released the identity of the man or any further details regarding the circumstances of the drowning.
