Three people were killed and two others injured in a shooting that took place Friday afternoon in the West Garfield Park neighborhood of Chicago, Illinois. Authorities said the violence occurred just before 5 p.m. in the 4000 block of West Maypole Avenue.

According to information from the Chicago Police Department and the Cook County medical examiner’s office, Kenneth M. At least two suspects exited the car and opened fire, striking all four people.

Lee was pronounced dead at the scene after suffering multiple gunshot wounds. Bell and Williams were each transported to area hospitals, where both were later pronounced dead. Bell died at Mount Sinai Hospital, while Williams was pronounced dead at Stroger Hospital after being struck in the head, officials confirmed.

The fourth victim, a 35-year-old man whose name has not been released, sustained several gunshot wounds and remained in critical condition at Stroger Hospital as of Saturday, police reported.

Additionally, another individual was injured while fleeing the area. He was not shot but broke his ankle during his escape and was treated at Humboldt Park Health Hospital, where his condition was described as good.

Police focused part of their investigation on Gotcha Faded, a barbershop located nearby on Pulaski Road, with officers seen entering and guarding the establishment. The business could not be reached for comment following the incident.

Authorities later discovered the vehicle allegedly used by the suspects had been set on fire, according to police records. No arrests have been announced, and detectives from the Area Four unit continue to investigate the case.
