Two Suspects Arrested in Western Pennsylvania and Ohio

Authorities in western Pennsylvania and Ohio arrested two people following a four-month-long, multi-state drug investigation focused on the distribution of multiple controlled substances. The investigation, according to the Washington County Sheriff's Office, targeted the sale of heroin, cocaine, and crack cocaine across portions of western Pennsylvania and Ohio.

Traffic Stop in Burgettstown Leads to First Arrest

As part of the investigation, law enforcement officers conducted a traffic stop on State Route 18 in Burgettstown, Pennsylvania. During this stop, officers took 53-year-old Archie Orison, identified as a Washington County man, into custody. The Washington County Sheriff's Office stated that when Orison was stopped, he was in possession of crack cocaine.

Following his arrest, authorities transferred Orison to the Washington County Correctional Facility, where he is currently being housed. Officials also reported that additional charges are pending against him in connection with the ongoing investigation.

Search Warrant Executed in Steubenville, Ohio

After Orison's arrest, the Jefferson County Drug Task Force in Ohio executed a search warrant at a residence in Steubenville, Ohio. During the search of the home, officers took another individual into custody. Authorities reported that this person was found to be in possession of cocaine, crack cocaine, and more than $15,000 in cash.

Officials did not release the name of the second person taken into custody. The confirmed items seized at the Steubenville residence included quantities of cocaine, quantities of crack cocaine, and cash totaling more than $15,000, according to information provided by law enforcement.

The Washington County Sheriff's Office stated that the drug investigation spanned four months and involved activity in both western Pennsylvania and Ohio. The investigation focused on disrupting the distribution of heroin, cocaine, and crack cocaine in those areas.
