Leaked Audio of Erika Kirk Emerges After Husband Charlie Kirk’s Death

Leaked Audio Features Erika Kirk Two Weeks After Husband's Death

A newly leaked audio recording of Erika Kirk has surfaced in which she is heard speaking with Turning Point USA (TPUSA) team members about a recent event and related merchandise sales two weeks after the death of her husband, Charlie Kirk.

The audio was released by right-wing influencer Candace Owens. In the recording, Erika Kirk addresses TPUSA staff and discusses the performance of a TPUSA event, including the number of attendees and merchandise revenue.

Details of Erika Kirk’s Remarks in the Recording

In the leaked recording, Erika Kirk praises the TPUSA team for organizing what she describes as an “event of the century.” She states that 275,000 people attended the event and that there was a stadium overflow.

She further notes that merchandise sales reached approximately $200,000, adding that the figure continued to increase. During the address, she thanks multiple internal groups, including the events team, the development team, the graphic design team, and the production team.

At one point in the recording, Erika Kirk refers directly to her husband’s death. She tells staff, “My husband’s dead. Like, I’m not trying to be morbid, but he’s dead. And it puts life into perspective of how short life is, and relationships.” She makes this comment while speaking about the importance of resolving past conflicts among staff members.

Public Reaction and Commentary on the Audio

After Candace Owens released the audio, she commented on her podcast that she was surprised by Erika Kirk’s reaction to her husband’s death. Owens said that, in her imagination, she had thought Erika would be more upset.

Online responses to the leaked recording include both criticism and support for Erika Kirk. Some individuals on social media criticized her for sounding cheerful when discussing event successes and merchandise sales following her husband’s death. Others expressed support, questioning what alternative approach she was expected to take when acknowledging and thanking the team that organized the event, which was associated with her husband.

Erika Kirk’s Leadership Role and Faith Tour

Since Charlie Kirk’s death, Erika Kirk has taken over his role and has hosted several TPUSA events. She launched a new initiative under TPUSA’s non-profit Faith arm, titled the “Make Heaven Crowded” tour.

The inaugural “Make Heaven Crowded” faith tour is scheduled to visit 30 cities this year. The stated purpose of the tour is to call people to “repentance, faith, and bold obedience to Jesus.” Speaking to an audience of thousands, Erika Kirk said the tour is special to her because she wanted to bring “a slice of heaven” from her husband to people around the country. She stated that she aimed to extend what she described as the beauty and palpable feeling of the Holy Spirit.

During her remarks about the tour, Erika Kirk reiterated her commitment to continuing her husband’s faith legacy. She said that the church is never meant to retreat from culture and declared, “We will change this country. We will change this world.”

Controversy Over Pastor Greg Laurie’s Role on the Tour

Erika Kirk’s “Make Heaven Crowded” tour has faced controversy related to one of its primary speakers, Pastor Greg Laurie. Laurie is the senior pastor of Harvest Christian Fellowship in Riverside.

Greg Laurie has been named in a series of lawsuits filed in U.S. federal court. The lawsuits allege child abuse and trafficking by former pastor Paul Havsgaard. According to the lawsuits, church leaders, including Laurie, allowed Havsgaard to act without oversight and overlooked multiple warning signs of his alleged misconduct when he operated church-supported children’s homes in Romania from 1998 to 2008.

Greg Laurie and Harvest Christian Fellowship have denied any wrongdoing in connection with the allegations stated in the lawsuits.
