Two people were hospitalized after a shooting in west Phoenix early Thursday morning. The incident occurred in a neighborhood near 33rd Avenue and Bethany Home Road.
First responders were dispatched to the area just before 4:30 a.m. on New Year's Day. When officers arrived at the west Phoenix neighborhood, they found that two individuals had been shot.
Both victims were transported to a nearby hospital. Authorities reported that the individuals sustained non-life-threatening injuries.
