Man Killed in Interstate 44 Crash in Southwest Oklahoma City

A 67-year-old man was killed in a multi-vehicle crash on Interstate 44 in southwest Oklahoma City on Friday, according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol. The crash occurred on I-44 just north of Southwest 15th Street shortly before 7 p.m.

Authorities identified the victim as 67-year-old Brian Dotson of Oklahoma City. Troopers reported that Dotson was stopped for traffic on Interstate 44 when the collision happened.

According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, Dotson’s car was stopped in a traffic line on I-44 just north of Southwest 15th Street. While he was stopped, another car struck his vehicle from behind.

After being hit from the rear, Dotson’s car then struck a trailer that was attached to another vehicle. Officials described the incident as a multi-vehicle crash along the interstate in southwest Oklahoma City.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol confirmed that Brian Dotson died as a result of the crash. No other injuries were reported among the people involved in the incident.
