Five People Hurt in East Charlotte Collision

Five people were injured in a crash on North Wendover Road near Marvin Road in east Charlotte early Sunday morning.

The incident occurred around 3 a.m., when a vehicle involved in the crash hit a tree. At least one person was pinned inside a vehicle, according to information provided from the scene.

Multiple Agencies Respond to Early Morning Crash

Emergency responders deployed five ambulances and several fire trucks to the crash site on North Wendover Road. Crews worked to treat and transport the injured individuals following the collision.

Two of the injured were transported to Novant Presbyterian with life-threatening injuries. Three other individuals sustained serious injuries and were taken to Atrium CMC for medical care.

Injuries and Ongoing Investigation

All five people involved in the east Charlotte crash required hospital treatment. The reported injuries included two patients with life-threatening conditions and three with serious injuries.
