Following this investigation, an arrest warrant was issued on August 12 for first-degree rape of a victim under 13 years of age.

Investigators also stated that Connolly was wanted by the Livingston Parish Sheriff's Office in Louisiana for felony aggravated crimes against nature. Both warrants were active at the time of his arrest in Colorado.

Location and Surveillance in Denver

This week, investigators learned that Connolly might be in the Denver metro area. They said he was believed to be working maintenance for a company located near Interstate 270 and York Street.

Deputy U.S. Marshals from Denver, along with Task Force Officers from the Colorado Bureau of Investigation, the Douglas County Sheriff's Office, the Englewood Police Department, and the Colorado Department of Corrections, established surveillance at the business on Tuesday where Connolly was believed to be employed.

Use of Alias and Identification

Investigators reported that Connolly was using the alias "Alli" and had significantly changed his physical appearance. Despite these changes, they stated that they were able to positively identify him when he drove into the parking lot of the business.

After confirming his identity, law enforcement officers took Connolly into custody at that location in Denver.

Booking and Extradition Status

Authorities transported Connolly to the Adams County Jail in Colorado. He was booked on the outstanding child rape warrant from the West Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff's Office and the aggravated crimes against nature warrant from the Livingston Parish Sheriff's Office in Louisiana.
