Elderly Man Found Dead in Logan Home on Friday Afternoon
Philadelphia police are investigating the death of 93-year-old Lafayette Dailey, who was found dead inside his residence in the Logan neighborhood of Philadelphia. Dailey was discovered in his home on the 4500 block of North 16th Street at 2:58 p.m. on a Friday. Medics pronounced him dead at 3:05 p.m.
Medical Examiner Confirms Cause of Death as Stabbing
According to the Philadelphia Medical Examiner's Office, reported on Wednesday following the incident, Dailey died from stab wounds. Police stated that he had lacerations on his head and chest when he was found. The death is being treated as suspicious, and the case is under active investigation.

Police reported that Dailey was found inside the home where he lived alone. At the time officers arrived, his white 2007 Chrysler 300, bearing Pennsylvania license plate number GRJ-5294, was missing from the scene. In addition to the vehicle, Dailey's car keys and wallet were also reported missing.
Vehicle Recovery and Ongoing Investigation
Authorities later located Dailey's Chrysler 300. The vehicle was towed to an impound lot, where investigators are examining it for evidence.
