Police Arrest Suspect After Deadly Shooting in Oklahoma City

Fatal Shooting Reported Friday Evening

On Friday evening in Oklahoma City, police officers responded to reports of a shooting near Southwest 22nd Street and Independence at approximately 7:33 p.m.

When officers arrived at the reported location, they found an individual identified as Andrea Leete, who had been shot. Emergency responders transported Leete to a nearby hospital, where she was later pronounced deceased.

Suspect Flees and Is Taken Into Custody

According to information provided by law enforcement, the suspect left the scene of the shooting on foot. Authorities state that the suspect was later located driving a family member's vehicle.

Police report that the suspect initially led officers on a vehicle pursuit. The pursuit concluded when the suspect surrendered to law enforcement.

Authorities identified the suspect as 21-year-old Caleb Davila. Police arrested Davila in connection with the shooting. Following the arrest, Davila was charged with a murder complaint.
