Two Teenagers Injured in Dundalk Party Shooting, Two Killed in Separate Crash in Baltimore County


Two 16-year-olds were injured in a shooting that occurred early Sunday during a party in Dundalk, Baltimore County, according to the Baltimore County Police Department.

Officers responded shortly after midnight to the 8000 block of Gough Street following reports of gunfire. Police said one 16-year-old male was found with multiple gunshot wounds, while another 16-year-old male had a laceration to his upper body.

Authorities later received information about a man who had arrived at a hospital with a gunshot wound. Investigators determined the shooting took place after a fight broke out at a party. The Baltimore County Police Department requested that anyone with information contact detectives at 410-887-4636.

No arrests or suspect descriptions were released as of Sunday evening. The investigation remains ongoing.

In a separate incident, two young adults were killed around 1 a.m. Sunday when their vehicle left the roadway and struck a tree in the 2200 block of Holly Neck Road in Essex, Baltimore County. Police identified the victims as 18-year-old driver Austin Lautenschlager and 19-year-old passenger David Santos III. Both were pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigators reported that the 2010 Chevrolet Malibu was traveling westbound when it veered off the road and hit at least one tree. No other vehicles were involved in the crash.

According to Baltimore County crime data, 29 people have been victims of homicide in 2025 as of October 4. During the same period in 2024, there were 18 homicide victims in the county.

Both incidents remain under investigation by Baltimore County authorities.
