Missing Teen Found Dead in Singer D4vd’s Tesla in Los Angeles

Teen’s body discovered after weeks in parked car

Celeste Rivas Hernandez, a teenager reported missing in April 2024, was found dead in Los Angeles, California, United States. Her decomposing body was discovered in the trunk of singer D4vd’s Tesla on September 8, one day after her 15th birthday.

According to the Los Angeles Police Department, Hernandez had likely been dead for several weeks before her body was discovered. Police stated the Tesla had been parked in the Hollywood Hills neighborhood for an extended period before it was towed.

Car parked for weeks before discovery

Parking enforcement records show the vehicle was first marked on August 27, 2024, for overstaying the three-day parking limit in Hollywood Hills. It was ticketed on September 3 and later towed on September 5. On September 8, investigators found the body of Hernandez in the trunk of the car, following reports of a foul odor.

The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s office stated last week that Hernandez had been deceased inside the vehicle for an extended period before being found. However, officials have not determined the cause or manner of death.

Police investigation ongoing

Captain Scot Williams of the Los Angeles Police Department told People magazine that investigators could not yet confirm whether anyone bore criminal responsibility beyond the concealment of the body. The robbery-homicide division is continuing its investigation.

Impact on singer’s career

D4vd, a 20-year-old Houston-born singer-songwriter known for his songs “Romantic Homicide” and “Here With Me,” was staying in a Hollywood Hills property with his manager at the time. Police later searched the residence.

The discovery of Hernandez’s body led to the cancellation of D4vd’s scheduled performances at The Warfield and The Greek Theatre during his U.S. tour.

Authorities continue to examine the circumstances surrounding the death of Celeste Rivas Hernandez as the case remains under investigation in Los Angeles, California, United States.
