The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s Office confirmed that the body was that of 15-year-old Celeste Rivas. She had been reported missing from Lake Elsinore, California, in March 2024, when she was 13 years old. Officials noted that the body was decomposed, and the cause of death was listed as “deferred.”

Discovery at Tow Yard

Police responded to reports of a foul odor coming from a Tesla at a tow yard in Hollywood. The Tesla had been impounded after being found abandoned on a public street in Hollywood Hills. According to neighbors, the car had been left there for more than a month before being towed.

Connection to Singer D4vd

The vehicle was registered to 20-year-old singer D4vd, whose real name is David Anthony Burke. The artist has more than 33 million monthly listeners on Spotify. At the time of the discovery, he was on tour.

Family Statement and Investigation

Celeste’s mother told TMZ that her daughter had a boyfriend named David. A representative for D4vd stated he is fully cooperating with the authorities during the ongoing investigation.
