DXD Capital Launches New Self-Storage Facility in San Antonio’s Alamo Ranch

DXD Capital has officially opened a three-story, Class A, climate-controlled self-storage facility in the Alamo Ranch District of San Antonio. The facility, spanning 109,854 gross square feet and 80,520 net rentable square feet, offers 873 modern storage units designed for both residents and businesses.

Managed by Extra Space Storage, the new facility features 61% of its units on the ground floor, ensuring convenient access for customers. Advanced security systems and climate-controlled units provide protection against the Texas heat and humidity, catering to the needs of the growing community.

Strategically located along the frontage road of West Loop 1604, the facility is highly visible and easily accessible. It is situated near major local landmarks, including Northwest Vista College and SeaWorld San Antonio, offering a reliable storage option in a fast-growing suburban area.

The Alamo Ranch District has seen rapid residential growth in recent years. Within a three-mile radius, more than 1,400 apartment units are currently under construction, 630 single-family homes are underway, and nearly 3,000 additional homes are planned. The area’s population has increased by over 300%, highlighting strong demand for storage services.

Tyler McKee, Director of Development at DXD Capital, stated, “Alamo Ranch represents the kind of transformative growth we target at DXD Capital. This facility not only answers an immediate market need but also positions us within one of the fastest-growing communities in Texas. Our strategy is to deliver best-in-class storage in locations where demographics, visibility, and long-term fundamentals align — and San Antonio’s west side checks all those boxes.”

This development marks another step in DXD Capital’s expansion across Texas and the Southwestern United States, reinforcing the firm’s focus on high-demand urban and suburban markets with favorable growth dynamics.
