A 76-year-old woman lost her life after being stabbed multiple times inside her home in Northeast Dallas. Authorities responded to a distress call around 2:50 p.m. on September 2 in the 10000 block of Royal Lane, discovering the victim suffering from severe stab wounds. Emergency responders pronounced her dead at the scene.

Suspect Taken into Custody

Police quickly arrested a male suspect who remained at the residence following the attack. The suspect has been identified as 57-year-old Victus Ebem, who now faces charges of murder. The precise relationship between the suspect and the victim has not been disclosed, and authorities have not yet released a motive for the killing.

Disturbing Details of the Incident

According to official reports, the victim’s daughter last saw her mother alive before leaving for work that morning. She recalled seeing Ebem in the living room, wrapped in a blanket. Upon returning later in the day, she discovered her mother lying in a pool of blood in her bed.

When police arrived at the scene following the 911 call, they found the suspect still in the home, with blood on his clothing. In a police interview, Ebem admitted to the stabbing, stating that he had woken up feeling “disturbed,” retrieved a knife, and fatally attacked the woman.
