Dallas Police Capture Dangerous Fugitive from Most Wanted Sex Offenders List

Arrest in North Dallas Ends Hunt for High-Priority Offender

Dallas police successfully apprehended one of Texas’s Top 10 Most Wanted sex offenders during a targeted surveillance operation in North Dallas.

Fugitive Identified and Arrested

On August 13, officers from the North Central Crime Response Team located and identified Martin Deanda, 43, in the 5800 block of Spring Valley Road. Without resistance, Deanda was taken into custody and removed from the streets of Texas.

Reason Behind the Manhunt

Deanda had been added to the state’s Top 10 Most Wanted Sex Offenders list after failing to comply with legal requirements to register as a sex offender. The charge, classified as a third-degree felony in Texas, carried a warrant issued by the Dallas Police Department.

Commitment to Public Safety

Authorities emphasized that the swift arrest was the result of dedicated surveillance work by specialized officers. Major Pollyanna Ashford, commander of the North Central Patrol Division, highlighted the importance of holding such offenders accountable and ensuring the safety of local communities.

Booking and Case Details

Following his capture, Deanda was booked into Dallas County Jail, with the case recorded under number 003553-2025. The arrest marks another success for the North Central Crime Response Team, which focuses on fugitive apprehension and community protection.
