Man Fatally Shot Near West 29th and MLK Jr. Street in Indianapolis

IMPD stated that the shooting occurred around 9:34 p.m. on July 25 near West 29th Street and Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Street.
According to IMPD, one person was critically injured following a shooting Friday evening on the near northwest side of Indianapolis.
At approximately 9:34 p.m. on July 25, IMPD officers were dispatched to the 800 block of West 29th Street, near Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Street, after receiving a report of a shooting.
Upon arrival, officers located a male victim who was in critical condition with a gunshot wound. He was transported to IU Methodist Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
Police reported that multiple shell casings were found at the scene near the victim.
The Marion County Coroner’s Office will determine the exact manner and cause of death.
