Woman Found Dead in South Nashville Identified as 34-Year-Old Victim
Authorities have identified the woman whose body was discovered over the weekend along a roadside in South Nashville as 34-year-old Samia G. Magzaoui. According to the Metro Nashville Police Department (MNPD), her body was found Saturday morning by a local resident who was walking his dog near a greenway off Knight Valley Drive, close to Harding Place.
The area remained cordoned off with crime scene tape into Monday as investigators continued to examine the scene. The body was reportedly concealed inside a garbage bag and left just off the roadway in a high-traffic part of the city, located near the airport and within a mile of the South Police Precinct.
Residents expressed concern over the disturbing discovery. One local, Steven Dotson, described the situation as alarming. Another nearby resident, Marissa Seymour, reflected on the increasing unpredictability of the area, noting that the incident makes people feel less secure in their own neighborhoods.
An autopsy conducted by the Medical Examiner's Office revealed that Magzaoui died from blunt force trauma and severe lacerations. The Metro Nashville Police Department, along with its crime scene investigators, is actively investigating the case and working to determine who is responsible.
No suspects have been identified as of yet, and the investigation remains ongoing.
