Philadelphia Police Seek Help Identifying Disoriented Woman Found in Northeast Neighborhood

Police are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a woman found disoriented in Northeast Philadelphia, who officials say appears to have difficulty communicating and is unable to provide information about her identity.

The woman was discovered around 8:52 p.m. on Monday evening in the area of 12000 Medford Road, according to police. Authorities said she appeared confused and was unable to share details about herself, prompting concern for her well-being.

Emergency responders transported the woman to a nearby hospital for evaluation and treatment. As of now, officials have not disclosed the extent of her condition or the circumstances under which she was found.

On Wednesday, law enforcement released a photograph of the woman in the hope that someone from the public might recognize her and assist in identifying her or locating her family.

Authorities emphasized that the woman "may have difficulty communicating pertinent information about herself,” and that traditional methods of identification have so far been unsuccessful.

Police are urging anyone who may recognize the woman or who has any information that could assist in reuniting her with loved ones to contact the Philadelphia Police Department’s Northeast Detectives Division at 215-686-3153.
