Teen Arrested After Early Morning Shooting Claims Life of 19-Year-Old in West Phoenix
A 19-year-old man was fatally shot in the early hours of Monday in a residential neighborhood of west Phoenix, leading to the arrest of a teenage suspect shortly afterward.
Phoenix police responded to reports of a shooting near 84th Avenue and Pioneer Street, located just south of Lower Buckeye Road, at approximately 3:30 a.m. Upon arrival, officers discovered the lifeless body of Angel Olguin, who had sustained fatal gunshot wounds. Emergency responders pronounced him dead at the scene.
Authorities began a swift investigation, canvassing the area for leads and potential witnesses. Not long after the incident, officers were able to identify and detain a teenage suspect, who has not been named due to being a minor.
